This is the second year I have written for Blog Action Day. This year Poverty is the main issue. I think there's a lot to write about it but let me just ask a "simple" question. We've heard a few times now that there's enough food to feed the whole world and there are enough resources to erradicate poverty. And my question is:WHY IS TAKING US SO LONG?
WE ARE PART OF THE SOLUTION! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Hi! I agree totally. Tomorrow (Saturday, 29 November) is Buy Nothing Day - a day where people make a conscious decision NOT to buy anything, not to spend any money, but to find free entertainment. I read about it first on another blog - Adventures of a Veggie Lady - and it really appealed to me! Maybe this day can raise some awareness both amongst us as consumers and amongst the global corporations that spend billions on anaesthetizing us into thinking that we 'need' all kinds of things that we could easily live without.
